EXPERIENCE

Graphic Designer, July 2018-Current

Creates​ imagery and layouts for cross-platform campaigns as part of a team that includes creative directors, writers, production designers, project managers, programmers, and strategists. Campaigns may include direct mail pieces, emails, social media advertising, custom Drupal microsites, and other items as requested. Healthgrades' clients are all within the healthcare field, but geographically and demographically diverse, with differing needs and aesthetic preferences. 

Participates in weekly brainstorming sessions to come up with creative, original ideas for client campaigns and develops at least two preliminary ideas for presentation. Presents creative concepts to clients with confidence​.

Completes assignments on time within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, highly collaborative workflow with many moving parts. Contributes and responds to internal and external critique to create the best work possible while remaining client-focused. 

Communications Specialist, June 2014-June 2018

Served as principal graphic designer,  photographer and website manager for the largest academic unit on the UW-Madison campus.

Developed concepts, designs layouts, creates and sources images, and manages printing and mailing for the college's annual publication, the L&S Annual Review, sent to more than 25,000 alumni, donors and parents each fall.

Curated visual and editorial content on the L&S website and serves as principle website point of contact. Participated in website redesign project in 2016 in partnership with Cricket Design Works in Madison.

Monitored and analyzes L&S website traffic using Google Analytics. Created monthly Google Analytics reports, and presented website data to high-level alumni stakeholders twice annually.

Managed email marketing for the college, including event communications, stewardship messages, and Sift & Winnow,  a monthly e-newsletter sent to more than 95,000 alumni and friends of L&S. 

Advancement Associate, May 2011-May 2014

Planned and coordinated major College of Letters & Science Dean's events, including:

  • Philanthropic L&S Board of Visitors meetings and dinners attended by a small cohort of 20-30 highly engaged alumni and friends each spring and fall.
     

  • Annual reception for over 100 members of boards of visitors across the college.
     

  • Biannual "State of the College" receptions and talks attended by 50-100 emeriti faculty and staff members.
     

  • Large-scale commencement receptions with more than 900 attendees celebrating the achievements of winter and spring graduates and their families.
